On Saturday, April 26th, the 34th annual Alberta Film and Television Awards presented producers Ben Babchishin, Fredrick Krotesch and David Bates with the 2008 "Rosie" for "Best Dramatic Production Under 60 Minutes" for their film, IS THE LADY OF THE HOUSE IN.

UPDATES: IS THE LADY OF THE HOUSE IN is complete. The cast and crew screening was held in Edmonton at NAIT's Shaw Theatre on February 15th. The film will be making its festival and television debuts shortly. Thanks to all the talented cast and crew who made this experience so special!

BIG NEWS: tyrant pictures is proud to announce the completion of their first co-production with Hired Gun Productions, a new comedy short entitled, IS THE LADY OF THE HOUSE IN?

IS THE LADY OF THE HOUSE IN? writer/director Ben Babchishin.

IS THE LADY OF THE HOUSE IN? is written and directed by award-winning director Ben Babchishin (RANT, A Gun, A Cigar, and a Bottle of Scotch) and produced by Babchishin along with Fredrick Krotesch and David Bates.

IS THE LADY OF THE HOUSE IN? stars Fredrick Krotesch as an ambitious telemarketer who receives some brutal karmic justice in the form of the eccentric Pole Family; Archie (Andy Northrup of SEG/ME/NTS), Midge (Linda Grass, CANADIAN BEAVER), Grampa (Rick Ash, SHANGHAI NOON, CHRISTMAS IN WONDERLAND) and teenage daughter Elaine (talented newcomer Laura Rushfeldt), who invade Johnny's life and turn it into a living nightmare!

IS THE LADY OF THE HOUSE IN? was shot by director of photography Rene Collins (inventor of the world-famous "Red-Eye" lens) in Sony High Definition. Click here for more info on the film.

August in a video tribute to the poem, "Walking with Wang An-shih."

LINGER IN THE MOMENT screens as part of "Open Your Eyes to the Word"

This evening of video poems, presented as part of the Edmonton Poetry
Festival, will feature works by a range of artists who turn their words
into intense visual/aural/oral experiences. Works will include video poems
created by young people in the "Street from the Heart" project, as well as
other local videopoets and a special guest artist. It will also feature a
discussion by the creators.

SEG/ME/NTS VS. ROBOCOP!

DOUBLE FEATURE AT THE METRO!

SEG/ME/NTS will be screening Thursday, July 26th at Metro Cinema (Zeidler Hall - main floor of the Citadel Theatre Complex - 9828-101A Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta) followed by a rare 35mm presentation of Paul Verhoeven's 1987 classic, ROBOCOP!

The show starts at 7pm, and admission is PAY-WHAT-YOU-CAN!
